Backend

A backend in PHP and Laravel that holds the whole system together

I design and develop application backends, APIs for Vue frontends and integrations with the systems your company uses. I also know the frontend well, so I can be responsible for the whole project and you do not have to coordinate several people.

In short

  • PHP 8, Laravel and Symfony
  • REST APIs for Vue and Nuxt applications
  • Payment, courier and CRM integrations
  • Frontend and backend from one person

Who it is for

When it makes sense to bring me in

I help companies that need a tailor-made application rather than yet another plugin for an off-the-shelf system. I build APIs, data management panels and automations that save the team time.

I also take over existing Laravel and Symfony applications. I tidy up the code, update dependencies and develop new features without downtime.

  • A web application or customer panel built from scratch
  • Integrating a website or store with an external system
  • Developing and maintaining a Laravel or Symfony application
  • A WordPress plugin with custom business logic

What you get

A backend you can safely build on

Thoughtful architecture

I plan the database structure and API with growth in mind, so new features do not require rebuilding half of the system.

Security

I use data validation, authorisation and protection against common attacks, and keep dependencies up to date.

Documentation

I document the API and how to run the project, so a frontend, a mobile app or another developer can use it straight away.

Scope

What I can do for you

APIs for Vue and Nuxt applications and mobile apps, with authentication, versioning and documentation.

Admin panels

Systems for managing orders, customers, content or bookings, tailored to the way your team works.

Connections with payment gateways, couriers, invoicing systems, CRM, ERP and wholesalers.

WordPress plugins

Custom plugins and extensions when off-the-shelf solutions do not cover your needs or slow the site down too much.

Application maintenance

PHP and framework updates, bug fixes, monitoring and new features in existing projects.

Automation

Background jobs, data imports and exports, reports and notifications that replace manual work.

Technologies

  • PHP 8
  • Laravel
  • Symfony

How I work

Four stages that keep you always informed about where we are

  1. Conversation

You tell me about the goal of the project and I ask about scope, deadlines and constraints. If something can be done in a simpler or cheaper way, I say so at this stage.

  2. Quote and plan

You receive a quote broken down into stages and a schedule, so it is clear what you are paying for and when you will see results.

  3. Development

I work in stages and show progress on a staging version, so you can give feedback along the way instead of only at the end.

  4. Launch and support

I publish the project, check its performance and correct operation, and can stay on board afterwards as part of ongoing support.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Can you develop an application written by someone else?

Yes. First I review the code and the environment and describe the risks, then we agree on priorities together.

Laravel or WordPress?

WordPress works well for websites and stores where content matters most. I choose Laravel when an application has its own logic, user roles and a lot of data. I will help you decide what fits your case better.

Do you also handle server deployment?

Yes. I prepare the deployment of the application on a server or hosting and help you choose a solution that matches the scale of the project.

Can you also build the frontend?

Yes, frontend in Vue and Nuxt has been my specialty for years. This way the API and the interface are built consistently, without passing responsibility between contractors.
